FITUR4all consolidates Spain's position as a leader in accessible tourism after a crucial year for the industry.
FITUR 4all, the part of FITUR focused on accessible tourism, is in full preparation for its 2026 edition, with the goal of establishing Spain as an international leader in this field. This event, which is organized in conjunction with IMPULSA IGUALDAD, will hold its third edition at IFEMA MADRID, focused on improving quality, diversity and inclusion in tourism offerings worldwide.
A key growth market
Accessible tourism has grown from a small market to a significant economic driver. With more than 1.3 billion people with disabilities worldwide and an increasing aging population, the sector presents a considerable opportunity for growth and global impact. According to the September 2025 Accessible Tourism Trends Report, Spain has established itself as an international benchmark, both in terms of destination and outbound market.
Within this framework, FITUR4all is presented as the key event for promoting a tourism model that is not only socially responsible, but also more competitive and adapted to the needs of all travelers.
Highlights of the professional event: "Do you think you know Spain?"
The central event of this section will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026, under the new Spain theme: "Do you think you know Spain? Think again." The program will bring together public bodies, destinations and companies with the aim of discussing four key themes.
In addition to high-profile discussion forums and networking opportunities, this section will include short presentations from companies that are revolutionizing the industry through the innovative application of technology and data.
Recognitions and Exemplary Practices
One of the most anticipated events will be the FITUR 4all 2026 Awards Ceremony, which will be held in collaboration with IMPULSA IGUALDAD. The purpose of these awards is to honor destinations, companies and projects that stand out in terms of accessibility. In addition, the 'II Guide to Best Practices in Accessible Tourism by FITUR 4all' will be launched, a tool created to highlight the best strategies to ensure equality in the tourism experience.
Miguel Carrasco, who heads the Accessibility, Culture and Inclusive Tourism Area at IMPULSA IGUALDAD, stresses that "accessibility has ceased to be a secondary aspect and has become an essential element for quality, competitiveness and innovation in the entire sector". From this perspective, FITUR 4all aims to improve the tourism value chain, promoting more responsible and diverse destinations.
